Botanical Name: Zingiber officinale

Traditional Usage: Ginger root extract is traditionally used by European herbalists and in Chinese medicine as anti-nausea (as well as against motion sickness and morning sickness), for pain and cramps of stomach and bowels and as a warming circulatory and metabolic tonic to purify the blood and stimulate the liver. Ginger is a very warm herb to be used when your skin is dull and fatigued and the tone is pale or ashen^*.

The Ginger extracts are prepared from the rhizome of Zingiber officinale plants which are certified organically grown without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. To assure optimal extraction of Ginger's bioactive compounds, the rhizomes are hand-harvested only when fully mature, are carefully shade-dried, and are then shipped directly to our laboratory and thoroughly extracted. This Ginger is never fumigated or irradiated.
